Paycheck Protection Program Information

COVID-19

Due to high call and email volume regarding the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) we have included some information below to help expedite the information gathering process.  If you choose to have us gather the information for you for a fee, please be aware that it will take us a while to gather the information needed given the high volume of requests we are currently receiving.

In order to help you pull reports that your bank might be requesting, we have provided instructions below:

Payroll Information

Substantiating Payroll Costs

Below are a couple of quick videos and manuals that demonstrate how to pull the requested reports from the Unify payroll portal.

How to Pull the 941 and CO UITR Reports Video | Manual (Pull Q1 – Q4 2019 unless your loan provider specifies otherwise).

How to Pull a Customized Payroll Register Video | Manual (Pull for 01/01/2019 – 12/31/2019 unless your loan provider specifies otherwise).

Again, we request that you obtain this information through the payroll portal and we can assist you with logging in if you have trouble. We can pull the reports for you for a fee, but please note that due to high call and email volume, this may take some time.

Substantiating Count of Full Time Equivalent Employees:

You may need to provide the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) count of employees for your business. If your loan provider does not provide specific instructions for determining the FTE count and you are unsure of yours, then we would recommend using a similar formula for how FTE count is determined for purposes of compliance with the Affordable Care Act (IRS Guidance on that here).

Sample Formula:

Salaried Employee Count + (Total hours under current column on payroll register / # of months included in payroll register / 120) = Full Time Equivalent Count

One final comment on this…

We know that there has been a lot of hype about the PPP funds running out causing people to feel frantic. We would like to encourage you to stay calm as the SBA and the President are saying they will make sure there are funds available for several months.  Please also note that the SBA has not issued the true final clarifications regarding the PPP loans, so some banks are not accepting applications at this time or just asking for any information they think they might need without knowing for sure. We expect there will be further clarification and guidance next week that will provide a better understanding.
